Good people of the internet, I am looking for your help. I have finished writing a parenting book and I am trying to decide on a title. The book, a lot like my blog, is from the point of view of a stay-at-home-dad and entertaining as a mo. Below you will find the top title ideas I came up with. So, I am just curious to see what everyone else thinks. What title idea do you like best? (Subtitles are in parenthesis) Leave a comment and let me know.

- Joeprah: Life as a Stay-at-Home-Dad
- Changing Diapers and the World (Parenting Humor, Tips and Insight from a Stay-at-Home Dad)

- Composting in the Minivan (Parenting Humor, Tips and Insight from a Stay-at-Home Dad)

- It Takes a Man to be a Stay-at-Home-Dad (Parenting Humor, Tips and Insight from a Stay-at-Home Dad)

I like "Changing Diapers and the World (Parenting Humor, Tips and Insight from a Stay-at-Home Dad)" as well. As funny as I find "Daddy, where's your vagina?" I think in the parenting aisle some may find it offensive(people can be such prudes sometimes...)

As long as the sub-title stays I like Dad 2.0. Some of the other suggestions sound like good chapter titles, but not the book title, and if you pick the Vagina one, as funny as it may be, I think you will subject your work to a quick death in the marketplace.

I like "Daddy, where's your vagina?" (Parenting Humor, Tips and Insight from a Stay-at-Home Dad) but change it to "Daddy, where's your va jae jae?" aAd change Tips and Insight from a Stay-at-Home Dad to Tips and Insight from Joeprah, a Stay-at-Home Dad.

@ Loomis, I appreciate that insight. I am not sure that folks would object to the title that much. I mean the vagina monolouges have been around for a long time, but I do see the point. That is most certainly my x-factor title.

First, YEY! for writing a book. *high five*
And second, I like the last one. Maybe I'm overly confrontational, but I'd even shorten it to: "Real men stay home"...
Or maybe reverse the diapers one? "Changing the world, one diaper at a time"
Or maybe "Apart from the mommy club: The stay at home dad experience."
Or "Daddy, why won't the other moms play with you?"
Not sure if you'd get into trouble for using Joeprah though. Would you?

I think "vagina" would be my first choice. The title has to be taken in context. Other than that, "Dad 2.0" makes me think of a new type of dad. It would pick it up to explore further.

The vagina one is hilarious, and I don't think it's too edgy to be marketable. Also, when the stay-at-home dad context is provided in the subtitle, it's a pretty meaningful joke. (Without that context, it's just a cute naive thing that any child might say to his/her dad.)
"Changing Diapers and the World" is also pretty funny. But if you use it, I would suggest "Changing Diapers (and the World)" because it makes 'changing the world' even more of an afterthought.
Joeprah is a great name, but I don't think it belongs in the title of a book about being a stay-at-home dad. If it were about being a male talk-show host, media tycoon and thought leader, that would be different!
Naming stuff is fun.

I like the Vagina title... but Dad 2.0 could work as well! Congrats on the book... I have been published once and I know how long it takes to pull things together...talk about a labor of love!

For crimminy sake go with "Where is your vagina?" every woman has one and every man... well it's not as if the vagina has been banned in Boston or whatever.... it's the funniest and most honest of the lot plus you know you are dying to put the word VAGINA on the cover of your book... don't blow your big chance man....

@ Mr. Man It seems like Vagina is the runaway favorite--I also liked Dad 2.0 a lot, it's a section header in the book so it will get some use if not for the title.

While I personally laughed at the vagina title, and further laughed at the va jae jae title, I think Dad 2.0 has great isle appeal, and also sticks with you for when you are trying to remember a title to suggest to other dads/trying to remember a title of a book when you are shopping. -Jason

I think "Dad, where's your vagina" is a great title. At first read, you're like "what the??!!" and then the sub-title pays it off and brings it back down to Earth, it's the "a-hah! Oh yea, I get what this book is about now... great title! I'm gonna buy it!" moment.

It's hard for me to choose just one. I do like the straight forward Joeprah title, but I do admit that 'Daddy, Where is your vagina?' is pretty freaking funny, and would totally make me pick this book up! (As if I wouldn't already)!

I'm with the "Daddy's, where's your vagina?" vote. So many parenting books, so many that seem to blend with each other. You have to jump off the shelf and off the Amazon list in order to stand out.

This is great! Congratulations! Anyhooo, I vote for Changing Diapers and The World. Some very pertinent and personal symbolism in that title. I thought those days were over for me until Cecelia had the runs a few weeks ago! Those days are never over in many ways! I guess you never know when you may need that one last diaper which was "conveniently" stored in the back of the attic, in a box, in another box, in a baby bag, in another bag! Good luck changing the world!!! If you are as good at it as changing diapers, you will ROCK. Love to you and Jodi
