So, I truly have went off the deep end now.  I have made a video podcast of yours truly for my readers to enjoy.  Ok, here is my mission statement for the podcasts that feature me.

  • I would like to show people a "behind the scenes" look into the world of a stay at home dad.
  • I would like to allow my readers to "get to know" me a little better.
  • I would like to find out if it is worth doing again.
  • I would like to know if I should just stick to the "kid centered" videos or do more of these.

Your turn, what do you think?  Were you all like WTF is this garbage, or did you like it.  Let me know, but be gentle.  Thanks!

ROFL! In fact, my dog kept staring at me, wanting to be in on whatever I was laughing at. (or at least that's MY assessment of the look on her face)

First of all, you could totally give Subway's Jared a run for his money, especially with your cute co-star. Just think about that for a minute.

Secondly, or..."B" as my family likes to say after "First of all", I love how you did 100 takes when you were doing fine on the first one!

I think it was awesomely funny.

I'm totally doing a post about your site in the next week or so. Thx for the laughs!

ok, I'm gonna be brutally honest cuz I've had one of those days and I have no shame left.

I THOUGHT I was gonna be like all 'cringe' n'stuff (why do I talk like a 14 year old American when I comment here?) but I liked it, I really did. Keep the tunes in, always with the tunes.

It was amusing and pretty cool and I'd watch another one.

Before I comment, officially, I just need a little clarity ...

Are you really driving your minivan, on your way to Chick-Fila, about to get your eat on? I'm not too sure. ;)

Joeps! This was the definition of BADASS yo! I loved every minute, and how you got babygirl to be so precious is beyond me. My kids would not be that cute, you can bank on that! word

Most definately do more of these, you are to cute not to be on camera full time.

How's about you hook your girl Pipes up with a mix tape, Joeprah style! I'm all about it!!

You rocked it! Yup!

Joeps! Man only you can turn 5 takes of you narrating a trip to ChickFila into something entertaining. I loved it man. I got to meet the guy behind the guy behind the guy. Keep on truckin! (or Vannin). This rocked. That's my final answer.

Definitely something different, yet entertaining at the same time. I played it once without sound it looks like you crash and roll over a few times with the crazy camera rearranging. :D

I'll watch Podcast #2. Good job man...

I liked Plex -- show everyone plex, that was fun. I liked the director's cut in between each scene and your badass minivan, but take one was a tad long.

I know you're a safe driver, because you said you were, but you freaked me out when you went all Blair Witch Project and turned the camera. Don't do that while you're driving, okay?

Nice.

First,

Xbox, Thanks for the tip, I will have to do away with mandatory titles, as soon as I figure out how...

Second, Thanks to everyone for the encouraging comments. I will make sure that the next one isn't as dangerous and Blair Witch like. My bad. lol

Third, PG, it was more of me paying homage to the innovator, the man who is annoyingly boring. ;) LMAO, thanks bro.

8) Liking that bad ass mini van, and the tunes. I love it...you need to have confidence in your awesomeness.
Me thinks though your kids might start wondering why daddy talks to himself so much one day....my kids already know I am a kook like that and I don't do the podcast thing.
Hey, I like that you took out the title requirement :)

You rock Joeprah... I loved that you left all the takes in (I always wait to see outtakes in movies... usually the best part). I think "Pink Tails" upstaged ya a little, but I think it will play in Peoria. 8)

Good stuff there. But the Gabba Gabba dudes freak me out a little bit. I'd be checking my rear view mirror often, too.

So tell me, did you follow Peyton's pep-talk and put a number 18 decal with some flames on your minivan?

Deb 1, Long time no comment! I am glad someone who actually knows me still comments...I was hoping you would show back up eventually.

Deb 2, Sorry, I should have had a disclaimer.

Russ, LOL! 8/10 though, thats a bit harsh for no racing stripes.

ZoesDad, Plex? He's awesome, that's my daughters favorite toy in the world. I agree they are freaky though, but the music rules.

Thanks all!

:) You can do either audio or video podcasts, audio seems to be the easiest and most common form of podcasting. You need to publish the content so that it is in a readable podcast format. You need to make a separate RSS feed for the podcast. Hmmm, you need to get it linked to iTunes? if you want another avenue to share your podcast. There's a lot that goes into it actually. For me it was quite difficult to set up, but now it is all downhill.

Very funny video. I especially like the part about driving around in your badass van. BTW, what are you using to record your video? I'm interested in doing some podcasts, but not sure how to get started.

That link tells what equipment I use to capture and edit my videos. Feedburner is a great tool for getting your videos out for the world to see. I suggest googling your blogging platform and video podcasts to see if you need an extra component to allow podcasting. Otherwise make sure the videos/audio files are in the proper format for users to view in their readers, I always use youtube which everyone can utilize and I also post my podcasts to my iTunes podcast page as well. :)

If I do nothing else, I would love to do a video spoof of your podcast...I think it would be a blast.

I loved the podcast - you did a great job man, although I really wanted to see what you ordered. 1:30? C'mon I want proof.
