I am sure some of you readers out there are like, Joeprah, why do I want to read about a camera? Here’s why—you can win this camera. Let me tell you why you want one of these Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120’s.
The Features:
The Review:
Some drawbacks of the camera are that it doesn’t take crystal clear images of subjects a great distance away. The camera is great at capturing moments that are nearby, but if you zoom in on something off in the distance you will notice the picture tends to get “sharp” as most digital zooms tend to. It isn’t a $1,000 camera so I would say that overall it is still way above average for its price point. So basically, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 takes great pictures and will make you look like you know what you are doing, but it does not work miracles. If you are looking for clarity, great portrait shots, plenty of features and you don’t want to break the bank—the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 is worth checking out. The Price TagI have seen the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 retail anywhere from $179.00 to $199.00. It isn’t the Ferrari of the camera world and it certainly isn’t the Yugo. I put it somewhere around the Honda Civic range; stylish, effective and quite good at Macros. My overall grade for the Camera is a solid B. Would you like to win the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120? Of course you would. I am running a contest to give away this awesome piece of electronic engineering. If you are interested respond with a comment. Contest details are forth coming in the near future. Word.

We need something that we can whip out while out and about that still takes pictures at the quality of a DSLR! Hey where's your URL box?

How's the battery life? I really do love my Kodak Easyshare, except that it sucks the life from batteries like a black hole.

I have a really naughty comment but I'm going to refrain because it is so wildly inappropriate that I would be sure not to get the camera, and you thought I made you blush before.

I'd love to have my own digital camera. I bought one for my wife's birthday last year and I'm always borrowing it without permission. For the sake of my marriage, can I have a nice free one so I won't have to keep sleeping on the couch?

Woo Hoo! I both need and want this (please!) My kodak easy share(which is older than the hills) is on its last leg and amazingly this was one of the cameras that I was considering in all of my online antics of digital camera research. I am definitely looking forward to hearing what I have to do to be considered... I will do almost anything (be reasonible though Joe)!

The other down side to the camera (not that it will prevent me from entering your contest!) is that Sony doesn't play nice with other electronics! I have an old sony cybershot, and the card is not compatible with ANYTHING. I have learned to work around it, but it is a pain.

Pick me! Pick me!
I need a camera of my very own. My husband has a camera - a very nice camera which I am sometimes allowed to use. But it is big and I forget to take it to places where photo ops occur. I need more photos of the things I do with the kids, like the zoo and the science center and...stuff. 19

As a photographer, let me be the first to that you for not giving into the clever marketing that makes one think everyone needs a DSLR. You sir are a true gentleman and scholar and I knew you wouldn't give into the hype.

Man, I need that camera! I have to be ultra careful with my current camera, lest I break off the lens cover/slide.

I totally want to win this camera because I have six daughters and they grow really fast. If I had a new camera I'd be able to give them my old camera. Nevermind that my old camera doesn't quite work all the time. The flash is moody. The focus is... distracted. The timer... yeah, I don't know.
We tried taking a family portrait. Everyone had clothes on, shoes even... and the timer wasn't in the mood for measuring anything. The sound on the videos is distorted, it looks like were lip syncing. Being a mom without a decent camera is hard, torturous even. Being a mom blogger without a decent camera is a nightmare, a torturous nightmare. My kids might think I don't love them. I might forget what they look like. You just never can tell. 24

I would LOVE to win the Sony Cyber-Shot camera. My 3.2 pixel Canon has started to die, and MadMadamMadeleine is too cute to miss any photo opportunities!

Buddy!!! I could really use that camera. Why, you may ask? Well, because I used to own a Sony Cybershot (few years ago) and wore it out. To replace it I bought a Canon. I regret it. The Sony Cybershot would be so much better and will go nicely with my Sony Vaio labtop and Sony HDTV. I would particularly like to have a try at using the Features Smile Shutter because it's really, really hard to catch Z-Dub photos when he's smiling.28

I brought this camera around with me to the pool, at the park and used it to snap off pictures around the house. I found the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 to be very user friendly with settings and functions that were clearly indicated and easy to use. The pictures ca
me out clear and although I attribute a large percentage of the success of the camera to how awesome I am, clearly the camera was doing something right. The camera is fun and like many cameras in this price range it comes with some great on board features. Another cool thing about the camera is that it allows you to push the 'shoot' button half way dow to achieve focus and then you can wait for the right moment and quickly snap off a great picture. My favorite features of this camera are; the Macro feature (Macro allows you to take extreme close-ups shots while staying in focus), the Smile Shutter (it actually does just what it says and takes the pictures at the exact moment your kids smile—cool feature for parents), and the “Steady Shot” feature (which accounts for the universal tendency of picture takers to shake like a leaf). The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 also does a great job of taking pictures of subjects while utilizing the flash. Sometimes when you use your flash you get a picture that either washes out a lot of the color of the subject or a picture that is completely dark in the background (see my old Fuji Fine Pix), not this camera, it stays consistent and
makes the task of taking a solid picture really easy. Finally, another great feature of the Cyber-shot DSC-W120 is the si
ze. It is truly a compact camera. At only 88.2 x 57.2 x 22.9mm, the Cyber-shot DSC-W120 is light, easily slips into your pocket or purse and just looks cool. You can personalize the camera with music of your choice that can be uploaded and played during the slide show of the images in your camera.

Count me in. I need a newer camera really bad!
