Tech Tips I have always been a fix-it-yourself kind of guy and when it comes to tech related issues I have been either breaking or crashing things for years. This knowledge of how not to do things has made search out for knowledge in tech land and come up with some interesting hacks and tips that I have accumulated through the years. These tips will include everything from hacks for your iPod, CSS styling code, and advanced Joomla! tips and tricks from a guy that has screwed things up too many times to count. These are answers to a lot of naggy questions and I hope some folks will find them useful. If you have any hack/tech tip post ideas feel free to email me and I will be sure to include a link to your site in my post. Levels of Tech Difficulty:Level 0 - There is no level zero. Level zero is for the folks that struggle buttering bread or putting socks on without getting the heal part in the front. I don't post level zero tech tips because they simply don't exist. Level 1 - You will need to be able to read the initial post. Basically, If you can turn your computer on and click your mouse--you should be able to handle this Level. If this level scares you, go to level zero and stare at a wall. Level 2 - You will need to be able to turn your computer on and read the initial post. You will need to be able to navigate the internet and your computer. You will need to be able to click on things and interact with them. Level 3 - You will need to be able to turn your computer on and read the initial post. You will need to be able to navigate the internet and your computer. You will need to be able to click on things and interact with them. You will need to be able to interact with multiple folders in your computer and either another piece of hardware (iPod, digital recorder, etc.) or software (photoshop, audacity, etc.). Level 4 - You will need to be able to turn your computer on and read the initial post. You will need to be able to navigate the internet and your computer. You will need to be able to click on things and interact with them. You will need to be able to edit your website with out crashing it. You will need to be able to copy and paste code into the approriate places in the backend of your websites code. Level 5 - You will need to be able to turn your computer on and read the initial post. You will need to be able to navigate the internet and your computer. You will need to be able to click on things and interact with them. You will need to be able to edit your website with out crashing it. You will need to be able to copy and paste code into the approriate places in the backend of your websites code. You will need to be able to interact with things like MySql databases and FTP clients. Most of these tips will be inherent to Joomla! users only.
