Team Joeprah is, perhaps, most accurately described as a dream team. First, we have Joeprah himself. You know what they say, "No team is complete without a leader." Well this team is proof positive that statement is dead wrong. He leads the team by providing thoughtless, mediocre content, with marginal cohesion and lackluster editing; thus necessitating the team in the first place. He is like Aquaman; just kinda there, and not really useful unless he is in his element. The rest of the team consists of editors hell-bent on finding Joeprah's errors and tidying them up at their convenience. The editors are a crack team of experts in the field of editing and trash removal, because, let's face it, most of Joeprah's work requires both a good eye and a strong constitution. Consider them Lady Hawk, Green Lantern, and Quirkee James can be called Sloth (from Goonies.)
Quirkee James: My name is James Grayson. I am a stay-at-home dad in Austin, Texas, with a wife, 2 kids, 1 dog, and a forever rotating half-dozen fish. I love my family, photography, music, sports, surfing the Web for useless information, and spending quality alone time at the grocery store reading the nutritional labels on food packaging. I am a dad, an editor, a writer, a Web developer, and a photographer. My column Because I Said So appears at Quirkee.com.
Mrs. 4444: I got my first exposure to working with emotionally disturbed people when I met husband 24 years ago. Only kidding, of course, but he was the poster child for undiagnosed A.D.D., and with my background and training, we hit it off! Two kids (teenagers), one golden retriever, and a cat later, we are living our American Dream in Packer Country, U.S.A. My blog is an eclectic mix of family life, raising teens, tales from my classroom, and growing up the 7th of nine children in a chaotic (to put it politely) household. Many people (even those I haven't paid to say so) find my blog, Half-Past Kissin' Time, entertaining, funny, and thought-provoking.
You know those kids who don't fit in at school, who disrespect their teachers, wear their pants too low, and do everything to draw attention to themselves except work? Those are the kids in my classroom at the middle school where I teach. As a result, I need an outlet for the stress. I know this is going to sound crazy, but to me, editing is relaxing. While the prospect of analyzing grammar, commas, punctuation, etc. drives some to the brink of insanity (or they just ignore it, like Joeprah) to me, such activity is calming. Luckily, my friend, Joeprah has given me plenty of material. What a guy...
Pete : He is currently in the witness protection program and a profile is forth coming. Needless to say, he is a gentlemen and a scholar, not to mention a whiz with a red pen.
