Yesterday I wrote a blog entry about my green thumb turned black over at my cre8buzz page in which I bemoaned the poor state of any plant allowed to pass through my hands on its way to the garden. What I didn't know at the time was that there was another unexpected result from that activity
I woke this morning with a strange sensation in my arms and legs - it was my muscles, unwillingly awakened, and now getting back at me in the cruelest way possible - by hurting! Here I had been so smug, thinking I was in pretty good shape for my (ahem) age - but c'mon - planting a few plants? Why the extreme pain and stiffness? No fair!
Which has prompted me to plan on some changes to be put into effect tomorrow....I need to not be in this bad of shape period! So, here's the plan - setting the alarm for 7 (ack!), and getting up and going out walking - I've put that off for months because it was "too cold" - and now that excuse is gone. I know from last year (before I wimped out) that walking is very beneficial, and will make those muscles quit their belly-aching! Step two will be much harder - tried this over and over - and just can't make myself do it - ugh - exercise. Even the word gives me the shivers! But - making it public here, and hoping that it will make me more accountable. I'll post updates on how me and my muscles are doing.... And the plants? They made it through the night - a good sign!
