Thank goodness for NPR. I heard about this on the way to work. I lived through the 1991 cyclone in Bangladesh, right next to Myanmar. You have to see the population density for yourself to be able to conceptualize the destruction. My parents wouldn't let me look out of the plane window when I was evacuated because they didn't want the piles of dead bodies to traumatize me. The American Red Cross is preparing to provide assistance, if anyone is inclined to donate.
