| Monthly Traffic Report: Giving Props | | Print | |
| Written by Joeprah | |
I have been analyzing and over analyzing traffic over the course of this last month more than I have ever done so before in my blogging career. I have been looking at unique visitors, referrals, page views literally more than one should. What do all these numbers mean to me? I have to say that once again I have been literally blown away by the amount of traffic my site receives from the dynamo of the social networking sites called Cre8Buzz . If you look at my referrals image below you will see that cre8buzz accounted for over 1300 of my referrals. If you do the math I received about 7% of my total referrals from cre8buzz. Now, you also notice that stumble upon gave me the most referrals but most of those referrals came from an article I did on traffic and cre8buzz . Of course, you will have the big boys like images.gooogle.com and searchlive.com bringing a site like mine a decent share of traffic but cre8buzz still, ultimately, more than holds its own.

On the grand scheme of things my traffic is stupid, but I am so grateful that folks stop by and actually read my stuff you wouldn't believe it. Just the other day my Brother's (in law, but my three brother in laws are my brothers the way I see it but w/e) girlfriend was telling me that she liked my article called The Incident and that she told her mom about it. I was blown away. First, that people like to read about my bowel movements, and second that they tell other folks about said stories--insanity. Anyways, here are my stats for the month for UV's:
![]() So, what have I learned this month? Well, first I have learned that it is important to have good content preferrably about people picking their noses or bowel movements. Second, I have learned that cre8buzz (incidentally they are opening their doors to the public April 1 and they are no longer invite only) rules and stumble is also pretty darn important. Lastly, I have began to wonder if my site garners enough traffic to throw down with some ads. I would like to use April as a test month for some ad content (nothing in the way and in bad taste) just to see if sites like mine can earn modest income (to pay for the site and its gadgets perhaps). I will keep you posted to my findings in April and hopefully learn something from the experience. Word!
