| Best Blogs of the Week I | | Print | |

So, like most obsessive compulsive people I take things to extremes. I am not sure how many blogs most folks have in their readers, but I have a ton (88). I eventually get to all of them at least once within the week. Granted some of the blogs aren't updated religiously, and some are updated, seemingly, more than once a day (Secret Agent Mama for instance). Anyways, I thought it would be cool if I shared with my readers some of the more interesting posts that I have found in my blogosphere throughout the week and give my blogging buds a "shout out" in the process. First, Jared from Dadthing.com did a great post about a new TV show called "My Dad is Better Than Your Dad ." A little about Jared, Jared is a fellow dad blogger who is a very enthusiastic dad and posts videos and pictures regularly about his uber cute kid 'Ace'. His wife also lends a bloggy hand as she writes posts for their blog too. They run a great blog as you can tell by this post. In this post, by Jared, he does an excellent and informative review about a new NBC TV show. He posts a video clip of the show at the end of his article. To get this clip Jared actually inquired through NBC and got a response from a publicity representative. That's what I call going the extra mile. Once again here is the link to the post about the new NBC show "My Dad is Better Than Your Dad ." Second, Terence, from House Dad Chronicals did a terrific post about injustice to stay at home dads, something I can relate to. You see, Terence also is a stay at home dad, and he found this article where some crazy lady wrote that she would never allow a stay at home dad into her playgroup because it defeated the purpose of the playgroup (which was to bash men, gossip and act like morons). His post is spot on and very well written . Terence's blog is filled with humor and societal observations, not too mention recipes and tips on do it yourself projects. Great work TDubz on that post , it hit the nail on the head. Third, another daddy blogger. Busy Dad, Jim Lin, from BusyDadBlog.com revealed another talent to his readers, besides being a guitarist a great writer, and an all around amazing dad he also is collaborating on a project to create a comic strip. This project has mad potential and I could definitely see it in papers across the country in the near future. His post gives some background on the collaboration and the inspiration for the comic itself (be sure to check the link at the end of the post to see how freakin' cool his work is). Amazing stuff. Fourthly (sp? wrd?), is Mary over at Motherwise Cracks . She runs a parenting humor blog and posts entertaining articles about her life with her almost grown up kids. She is engaging, inspirational and very funny. Anyways, she did a great post about parenting guilt and naval piercings that is a terrific read. She is the master to my pupil. Fifth, my hero, Momo Fali . Momo introduced me to cr8buzz and has been a terrific blogging friend since the first moment I crossed her bloggy path. I must admit she constantly surprises me with her wit and story telling ability. Her post range from short and sweet to longer, engaging narrative. Like Mary at Motherwise, she is inspirational as she deals with all the curve balls life deals her. In a recent post of hers she writes about Freegans. I don't want to let on too much about what the heck Freegans are, I will just say ewww. Number six brings me to my original blogging friend. I think he has the best largley undiscovered blog out there. I am talking about my boy Dave Grimm at My Grimm Reality . He is honest, writes extremely well and impossibly funny. He did one of the most gripping posts about how he was pulled from the brink . He was about to give up blogging and talks about, very candidly, his thoughts on the topic in this revealing post. I am humbled to have found him and glad to call him my bud. Word. Last, but in a cliché fashion, not least is one of my newer friends Marsha Loftis . She is a freelance writer who is self defined as smart, creative and occasionally funny...more than occasionally if you ask me. She did a recent post in response to my nerd post. The resulting video on her site is a blogger must see and a sure fire classic. The video editing is first rate, and the directorial technique is sublime. Although I am new to her site, I enjoy her posts and her insight as a mother to five. Which posts will make it to the top next week? Stay tuned.
